Burn 02:52
Burn it down to the ground. Watch it blaze and hear the sound. Embers crack and flames exhausted. Emphasizing what you lost. Burn that bridge when it’s crossed. Clear perspective has been lost. There was no time to think this through. What’s done is done that much it true. Burn it down! Burn it down right to the ground! Another night, another fight. Best laid plans never go right. Got so sick of all the shit. Happens more than I’ll admit. The anger swells, the stakes are weighed. The feeling you have been betrayed. And this is not worth all the scratch. Turn and laugh then toss the match.

When I think about the things that we did when we were young, I'm pretty sure we should have died. All the nights we stayed out tryin' to see how far we'd go, the times we got lost in our lies. There were no consequences, at least none we cared about enough to make us stop our fun. The hangovers were hiccups, the battles fought were small. We always felt like we had won. Pretty sure we should have died! Pretty sure we should have died! When I think about the shit we did ! I'm sure we should have died! Pretty sure we should have died! Pretty sure we should have died! When I think about the shit we did ! I'm sure we should have died! We would plan to make mistakes we would count on breaking rules and we would never thing things through. The night it had no ending, our livers felt no pain. We never really had a clue! It was never paint-by-numbers, it was never cut & dry. It was more like fill in the blank. We would never surrender or let good judgement win. It was a ship that never sank! (Aaaaaahhhh!) Hey! Ho! Hey! Ho! Hey-Hey! Ho!-Ho! The hole in my heart never made it to my head. That doesn't mean I never tried. The drink in my hand made a mess of my mind and the fun became the lies. Pistol whipped and beaten and kicked when I'm down, this cat is runnin' low on lies. Not a noticeable regret though, but still a fuck ton of good times!

Hereditary 03:19
Growing up, I never had a doubt that someday growing old I'd look just like my dad Though as the years creep up with deceptive speed, these daunting odds contrast assumptions long foregone All along what seemed like nagging lines, I merely failed to see the forest for the trees Hindsight has found a clarity and humility, appreciation for the values I wish I could have applied So sorry guys, not like I haven't tried But, by 25 a part of me had died You paved the way, a paragon to see So the failure's mine, your union's just my dream Coming round, full circle now, it's spanned the ups and downs Disappointment chased by fleeting pride But now I know, young child does erase shortcomings past Lucky not too late, hope worth the wait

Robot Inside 03:21
Thinking aloud I rarely think much now The program is set were left with autopilot Making sad January resolutions An earlier chapter such thoughts unneeded I'm trying to fight this strange robot inside My memory fails to recall creative visions I guess this is what happens to ones mind The daily routine takes hold, won't let go easy I'm easy, so pleasing Repetitive lines aren't what I had in mind (had in mind) Somewhere along the way I go so lazy (got so lazy) The future depends on capturing some semblance of the past (capturing the past) Youth and the vibrant life must make this comeback

Boys in Blue 02:13
Come on U! Come on U! Come on Union! Come on U! Come on U! Come on Union! *Chorus Watch the Union score! Defend the River End! Watch the Union score! We love our Boys in Blue! Our boys on the pitch and their running the field We’re going to cheer them until we raise the shield Join or die! Join or die! Join or die, The Union! Join or die! Join or die! Join or die, The Union!

History 03:32
Complacency is fine and status quo. You can’t get lost if you don’t go. It’s safe and warm inside this home and nothing is ever overblown. The air is stale, and it is sad, when nothing can go bad. You’re not fearless, when there’s no fear and you are always staying clear. We don’t know where we will go, what we will see or time will show. So, make mistakes, take a chance, experiment or change your stance. You can’t thrive if you don’t try and you will always question why. I’d rather fail and know what if then have this static cause a riff. So just step out, there is no net, and hell there’s no sure bet. A lesson learned is the worst case, scars and a trace. You can fake until you make it and learn all the unknown. Your comfort zone needs a new border, add some chaos to this order.

Stick it Out 03:52
Stranded now, lifeline is gone; a helpless feeling and it defies words Lonely now, you say you're fine, and lying's so much easier to hide Broken down, pervasive fear; when will things return and what will change forever more? How can one begin to heal when suffering and cure are intertwined? Patience now, trite words ring true Just stick it out, let's wait it out Smile and know you won't lose your hair Have faith in time this too shall pass Barely there, gasping for air A sign or indication that she's there to repair what's damn unfair Was it known how much I cared? Enough to stick things out 'til it stops raining

Tracks were recorded in the spring of 2023 at Noisy Little Critter studio in Thorndale, PA. This was the 4th studio release from The Preps, who formed in 1996, and it demonstrates the evolution of the band. This album showcases the blend of driving rhythms, melodic choruses and honest lyrics that the band has made into its signature style. The songs also highlight the contrast between the songwriting of Breslin and Bryan Schwenk. Eric Schwenk's drumming and Douglas J.
