Wrote him off as a lost cause and victim of the drink. But life at rock bottom coerces you to think. The hardest part of betterment is admitting you need help. You can find the strength when you remember how you felt. *Chorus Brass knuckles finally coming home! Brass knuckles finally coming home! Brass knuckles finally coming home! Brass knuckles finally coming home again! He was forced to make a choice or watch his body die. The rotting of his conscience was the leading reason why. He was taking one step forward, but falling two steps back. Now he’s got 12 steps of comfort and it put him back on track.

Hindsight 03:34
The same old adages of learn from your mistakes. How can I fix it if didn’t even break? I made a left when I should have gone right. I turned and ran when I should have stayed to fight. I drank one more when I should have called it quits. I cared too much when I shouldn’t give a shit. I wish I knew what the right thing was to say, but every single time my brain gets in the way! *Chrous I don’t know what I don’t know. I don’t know what I don’t know. I don’t know what I don’t know. …But, I’ll find out. If I knew then what I know now, things would be different and they would change somehow. I have no idea what it is that I don’t know. No way to speculate and nothing I can show. Every now and then you have to stop and think, so much can happen in the time it takes to blink. If I knew the answers when I was out of touch, I never would have failed, I would have missed so much.

Left Behind 03:16
Trust the process. You’ve seen it all around. And, there’s no reason things won’t be the same. A specious faith can breed reckless planning. But, the staid play fails to inspire that much zeal. *Chorus The train left me behind. The pictures in my mind, holding me captive inside, the young life. The blame left noise behind. Reverberating seasons and summer won’t survive the cold times. Does this matter, does a maverick have appeal? Maybe that’s just what some losers like to feel. No panacea, short cuts have vanished too. Suddenly, excitement - a chance to make up one’s mind.

It’s the start of another night, and we don’t know where we’ll go. I’m with my crew, it was a long week and we’ve got some steam to blow. Near or far, home or away, we don’t need a reason why. We’ll hit the pub, throw back some pints, and watch the time fly by. *Chorus I don’t know where we’ll end up tonight Say the wrong thing, end up in a fight I don’t know where we’ll end up tonight I just sure, I’ll be by your side. Thick as thieves, and dense as lead, we’ve grown over the years We had the best and worst of time and sadly shed some tears Reputation is not our thing even though we are well known We only promise one guarantee that you’ll never walk alone.

about

We headed back into the studio for the first time in a couple decades to record 5 songs for this E.P. The first studio we ever recorded at, back in 1996, was called Second Story Studios and this iteration of the band is kind of like our second chance to revitalize ourselves and write some powerful pop-punk songs, so the 2nd Story E.P. was created.
